Thanks for the comment. It all depends on your text string's length and the size of your font. After you place the text on the spiral, try adjusting the font size to expand or shrink its size as needed. You could also add or remove text to help it fit right. Also, change the text tracking to lengthen or shorten the text string size. Another alternative would be to add more or fewer spirals. Of course, if you increase the number of spirals you would have to decrease the font size in order to make the text fit inside the smaller spiral.

Thanks for your comment. There is no other software you need other than the 2 online applications: wordclouds.com and Pxlr-x. Once you are done with the HD png file, you can print the file on your printer or take it to a print station at a store, or take it to a printer place. If you have a color printer, you can print it using the Pixlr E tab on Pixlr-x. With the finished picture open in the Pixlr-x start screen, choose the Pixlr E tab on the top of the screen. (both Pixlr X and Pixlr E are currently free.) Click on your image. Once the image opens up in Pixlr-E, Choose: File - Print, to print the picture. Change the print settings as needed for your connected printer. As an alternative you can print with most image editors, such as Microsoft Paint and many others. By the way, if you want to make a word cloud pic for a number of people, you only have to make the oval template once. You can use it for all your people. When you start a new word cloud for your 2nd person just open the previous final word cloud you saved before. Most of the settings will be the same and the oval shape template will already be in there, you just have to load in another text file for the second person and randomize until you find one that looks good. Be sure to save with the 2nd person's name. Hope this helps.

Not sure what the problem is. At about 5:12 in the video "Right Click and choose the blending Option" . Did you do that? It seems like a useless step, but I had to do that at times for the stroke to take. Then when you choose the blending options, Does Stroke have a check mark. If not check it, If it has one, turn if off and back on, Then ok and continue. At last resort, you can save your work up to that point, then close and re-open the project. Hope this helps. @@MagicalFruitTuts Thanks, I'll try it again. But I did a fix for the one I did. Made a copy, put it in, duplicated it, erased the crooked outlines of the letters, then stroked it. It covered the crooked edges in the copy under it. I sometimes have trouble with tutorials. Sometimes it doesn't do what's being done in the tutorial. I have mine on a Apple mac. The Catalina OS killed my Photoshop so I hadda use time machine & go back to where I was. I think maybe these newer operating systems effects my Photoshop's functions.

Thanks for you question. Because of technology changes, I would not recommend Wordle for most people. Wordle is available as a desktop download but also can have technical problems. I do recommend wordclouds.com. It has similar features to Wordle.net and also can make word clouds in standard or custom shapes. There are many UA-cam videos on how to use wordclouds.com. In the meantime you could make a word cloud for a specific student based on their name and other words describing them and their qualities and interests. Be sure to repeat their name a few times so it will appear in larger text. You could then use Photoshop to edit the student photo and cut out the background so only the student is visible. Save as a png transparent image. Then place-embed that image onto the word cloud background you saved earlier. Re-size and re-position the image to suit. Then play with the opacity of the student image and maybe the word cloud, so some of the background shows through. You also could experiment with the multiply, overlay, and soft light blend modes to see if they help. I'm not sure what age group your students are in. But for younger students, you could eliminate the personal picture, instead make the word cloud in a shape that appeals to them such as dinosaur, unicorn, astronaut, etc. Your comment has given me some ideas about making another tutorial aimed at simplifying a personal word cloud for students, team members, and group members. What words would you use for an anonymous hypothetical student? Thanks
